If you’re an employee or director, you will usually pay your NI through your salary and so will only be affected where you’re also self-employed or a member of a partnership.
Six-monthly. From 2011/12 Class 2 NI will be due twice a year: July 31 and January 31. Where you currently pay the contributions by monthly instalments through direct debit, there’ll be a break to bring payments into line with the new six-monthly due dates. In April 2011 your direct debit will automatically stop and will restart in August.
From April 2011 Class 2 NI due dates are changing to twice a year: July 31 and January 31. Where you currently pay these by monthly instalments, they will automatically stop in April 2011 and restart in August
