At its fundamental base, there are truly only three ways to grow any business:

  • Increase the number of customers
  • Increase the average sale price
  • Increase the frequency that clients buy

We personally believe that by adding one more piece to this poll for a solution, we can double or even triple its effectiveness.  So what is this magic ingredient?

Everything we do ourselves, and with our clients is based on these principles.  We would never introduce a client to any ideas, processes or systems that we had not either first tested (if appropriate), or checked as proven.

This gave us the incentive to create our Profit Plan on a Page.  This product, is a bit like a business plan, but about 200 times more effective as a tool to manage your business on a week to week basis.  Most businesses, who have created a business plan, do not refer to it from one year to the next unless (for example) they need to go to the bank for more funds. The Profit Plan on a Page is designed for everyday use.

All clients we work with would be unable to work with, say, a 30 or 40 page business plan every week, but would have no trouble working with one sheet of A4.

We also asked clients how often they sit down with a challenging mind to question their business performance and identify areas of improvement.  Once again, most clients did not have formal methods for doing this. We explain that large corporates are able to maintain their size and success through a process of their regular pre-planned board meetings. There is no reason why small businesses should not do the same.  In fact, small businesses get a far greater advantage from the process of having the monthly meetings, simply because they can respond so much quicker, make decisions more easily, and implement new ideas virtually instantly.  Our Board Meeting Service was born.
